Metaverse is one of the most promising technologies of the future. We have done series of articles, podcasts and videos outlining its potential and have also advocated more about it.
We have been discussing in public about Metaverse even before the official transition of Facebook to Meta. Looking beyond the fantasy element and all the fictitious semblance of our future world, there is a real potential that lies within the technology which can change the way we interact, work and play.
One of the primary challenges in large scale adoption of Virtual Reality is it's current form factor. Agreed that everyone may not like wearing a device / gear over their head and walk around like cybernetic beings. Contribution towards changing this trend and serious work in transforming this device's current form factor are taken up by various different entities and even startup companies like us.
Metaverse is in its early form of the larva stage right now. It is in the stage of how the PC's where in the early 90's. But this time around, the development cycle of the technology is much shorter than that of the PC's. In that perspective, there are several companies both big and small who are fast adopting the Metaverse bandwagon to promote and produce their products and services.
Couple of months back, we saw Walmart launch their own version of Metaverse in kids favorite game Roblox and just a few days back Skoda Group launched their own metaverse called #Skodaverse. Customer engagement seems to be one of the prominent and compelling reasons behind this adoption. Even a couple of months back we saw HYUNDAI MOTOR launch one of their new car in the Metaverse. This list keeps growing by the day and there is a clear sense of FOMO on Metaverse prevailing across the Industry.
At GRAHAs VR ® we launched our Metaverse services a few months back in July.
