Why "SKILL" & not other use cases with VR
November 15, 2021
Virtual Reality is such a trans-formative technology, which has the potential to solve most of the problems faced today. If not solve the problem and use case completely, it has the ability to play a pivotal role in almost everything.
A technology with such a vast majority of use cases and potential and is also touted to be the next major breakthrough in the computing industry.
We at GRAHAs VR chose to use this technology towards the up skilling and re skilling of workforce, which we believe is one of the significant tool to enable Human Beings stay relevant in the context of Automation.
There has been many other visionary ideas and brainstorming on how and where VR can be used. These have succeeded to an extent as well. Well for the most part, it has been used in the Gaming Industry to the farthest extent. But, there is lot more that VR can offer other than gaming and pleasure. VR Gaming systems alone can’t be held as a benchmark for Virtual Reality’s breakthrough potential.
The basic idea and ability to do all those, that are risky and beyond Human Control in reality is eventually made possible through Virtual Reality.
We believe it hasn’t been explored to its fullest potential by both the users and creators alike. Much of all the fan fare around a Virtual Universe (Metaverse), have raised the basic thread of its possibilities and its ripple effects. We need more evangelism around VR by the adopters and by all the early adopters, who have realized its potential.
Given the possibilities of VR, we care to explain the reason why we chose “Skilling” over all the other potential use cases.
We have an insatiable appetite for learning. Learning new things, processes, tools have always been a growth driver for each and every individual’s progress. But, somehow they lack the enthusiasm and energy required for acquiring new skills and implementing them. More so in an Industrial Environment, wherein they are required to master their skills and utilize them on a day to day basis for a better productive outcome.
We are in such a tech-infused world, wherein the average attention span of a Human Being has reduced from 12 seconds to a mere 8 seconds, based on a recent study. This is shorter than that of a Goldfish.
Being focused and putting your efforts are the two most primary criterion for developing a Skill. Delivering a focused content and at the same time, developing your enthusiasm to do so need to have some incentives. This needs to have a simple solution, that can cater to the masses. That’s when we decided we can piece our solution together using a technology like VR.
Eliminating all the concentration lapses and deviation within the Virtual World is pretty easy, as long as we deliver a strong quality content which can resonate well with the users. Once the users love what they do, when there is a wow factor and immersive experience interwoven with their work, that brings in focus and effort as a by product.
When your work is not a job and it’s something you love doing, that increases the productivity automatically. Even then, we aren’t relying on such emotional and psychological factors alone towards driving our implementation and productivity. We are able to demonstrate that our kind of Virtual Reality based training solution can provide 4 times more faster and focused training than the current practices, which includes both classroom based training & E - Learning combined.
In continuation to this, we would love to take the opportunity to have each and everyone of our followers and subscribers, witness firsthand the “Immersive Experience” of our Next Gen Virtual Reality Headset and Content.
