August 15, 2021
As we celebrate the 75th Indian Independence day, we take pride in quoting the article from the Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT), Colorado, which features us as Colorado, US ties to India. Please click here to check the featured article.
For those of you, who are unaware of the development, we were approved of close to half a million dollars in Job Growth based tax credit Incentives by the OEDIT, Colorado for the establishment of our HQ in Fort Collins, Colorado. This process involves in the creation of 51 net new jobs in various functions including software development, marketing etc. in Colorado. We believe this is a win-win situation in both the ends and enables cross country partnership, as our VR Headsets (the Hardware) will be manufactured in India, more so in our Vel Tech TBI premises in Chennai and exported for use in US. The software functions, content creation & marketing for the American & European market will happen from Colorado. A detailed press release by the OEDIT & comments from the Honorable Governor of Colorado, His Excellency, Jared Polis can be found here.
We’re likely to establish our HQ and start our operations before the end of this year from the beautiful city of Fort Collins, Colorado.
There can’t be a better day to highlight this cross border partnership and associations, than the 75th Indian Independence Day.
Adding more merit to our cross country efforts, we were invited to be a part of the BizWest Media’s CEO Round Table Conference, which is a premiere business journal in Northern Colorado. This hybrid event of both online and offline, was held on August 10th, this past week. We had the opportunity to share the Dias with people representing companies like Intel, Aerosol Devices etc. We had the fortune of explaining our product and solution post which, virtual training was taken up as a point of discussion in the conference. Lot of discussion happened around the theme of Virtual Training and how it’s impacting organizations across verticals and the kind of activities the executives themselves are implementing within their organizations. There was a widespread acceptance and acknowledgement from the executives that Virtual Training is a necessary step towards future.
Snippets from the article are detailed below.
Having elaborated on our initiatives enabling cross country partnerships, we would like to mention a few pointers, which will be the precursor for next newsletter issue.
Over the past few weeks or even about a month, there has been increasing discussions in the tech community on the topic, METAVERSE. This became a topic of discussion & aroused curiosity, ever since Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will make the transition from a “Social Media” company to a “Metaverse” company.
Metaverse is an alternate virtual shared space. This is an entirely individual virtual world, wherein people even work and meet in this virtual world. Think of this as some one trying to overcome phobia and facing their fears inside the virtual world. Except here, everything happens within this virtual world including your work, fun, networking with your peers and your day to day activities.
This was perceived to be some dystopian science fiction until about a few years back, when some companies started working on this factor seriously and went ahead with implementing projects related to Metaverse.
We will discuss more on this in detail including the possibilities of creating a Metaverse, factors involved in their adoption and more so in our next issue of our Newsletter. Stay Tuned to check out what’s in with Metaverse.
Happy Indian Independence Day !!!
